Building an inclusive and supportive community, one class at a time
Desi Dance Community was created in 2022 by Amit Patel & Saffatt Al-Mansoor, with the intention of bringing together dance communities in the Bay Area and beyond. We felt the need for a community oriented dance environment within the South Asian arts community. We believe that we can elevate and diversify each other's training and artistry while continuing to pursue our own individual goals. Through the Desi Dance Community, we host classes, intensives, as well as our annual Roots & Rhythms Dance Convention.

Roots & Rhythms
We are excited to bring back our Desi Dance Convention for a third year! This is a 2 day dance convention with dance educators from different backgrounds sharing their craft with the bay area dance community. Our goal is to bring a diverse range of educators to the Bay Area, and foster a community rooted in learning.
