Desi Dance Community was created in 2022 by Amit Patel & Saffatt Al-Mansoor, with the intention of fostering a community-oriented dance environment for the South Asian community. We believe that we can elevate and diversify each other's training and artistry while continuing to pursue our own individual goals.

Through the Desi Dance Community, we host local, national and international educators and the Bay Area’s first Desi Dance Convention - Roots & Rhythms. Notable names include Kumari Suraj, Chow En Lai, Mr.. Wiggles and Harini Nilakantan.
