Esha Saini is a versatile Bay Area-based artist who seamlessly blends dance, choreography, and creative expression. With a passion for storytelling, Esha's creative work spans across production design, social media, makeup artistry, and her captivating dance performances.
Esha's dance journey began at the age of 6, where she discovered her love for Bollywood. From 2012-2019, under the guidance of Mona Khan Company, she honed her skills in Indian contemporary and semiclassical styles, developing a deep appreciation for the art form. Her passion for dance led her to become a dance teacher at the age of 15. She was co-founder of her high school's Bollywood dance team, sharing her passion for dance with other students.
Pursuing her academic and artistic endeavors, Esha earned a minor in Dance from Arizona State University (ASU) from 2019-2023. Challenging the Euro-centric norms prevalent in collegiate dance education, she infused her work with elements of her cultural background, crafting powerful narratives that resonated with the "first-gen" American experience.
As captain of ASU Andaaz, Esha's leadership and creativity shone through. She orchestrated immersive performances that integrated choreography, lighting, set design, and costume design. Her dedication to teaching extended to dancers of all levels, as she shared her expertise in bhangra, kutthu, hip-hop, contemporary, and more.
Beyond the studio, Esha actively engages with the dance and LGBTQ+ communities in the Bay Area, participating in various classes and projects. When she's not immersed in the world of dance, she can be found with her nose in a book(preferably with magic, or at the gym.
