Shraesht Chitkara (he/they/she) is a dancer, designer, and photographer who creates work that draws from various vocabularies to portray themes of exploration, empowerment, and community. They hold two bachelor's degrees in Design and Dance & Performance Studies from UC Davis, where they developed a critical understanding of movement and visual arts as tools for innovation.

Shraesht first discovered their passion for dance as a teenager through Bollywood and Indian Folk, drawn to the high energy movement. In college, they honed their skills as a competitive dancer on both MK Modern and Lashkara Hindi Film Dance Team while gaining a deeper knowledge of dance through academic study. Over the past eight years, they have trained in Kathak, Vogue Fem, Waacking, Street Styles, Hip Hop, Bollywood, and Modern dance. Though primarily self taught, they have trained with Be Movement Collective and study Kathak at Tarana Dance Academy under Guru Pragya Dasgupta, performing locally and internationally.
